Polaris To Continue Winning Riders Program this Season

MEDINA, MN – (November 1, 2006) Polaris Industries today announced the continuation of its ground-breaking “Winning Rider’s” program designed to increase awareness and participation in snowmobile clubs and associations. The Winning Riders program also triggers financial support for state and provincial snowmobile association by providing a cash donation for every new Polaris snowmobile sold in the respective province or state.

Thousands of snowmobile clubs and volunteers give countless man hours every month in order to develop, maintain and groom more than 225,000 miles of trails in North America. Most of the trails and riding areas snowmobilers enjoy today exist because of volunteers. The Polaris “Winning Rider’s” program is designed to recognize and say thank you to the state and provincial associations and their clubs and volunteers. But more importantly, the program is intended to increase awareness of these organizations and encourage membership.

“Snowmobiling has an incredible infrastructure of volunteers in place to support the countless miles of trails and riding areas this sport has to offer,” said Polaris Snowmobile Communications Manager Pat Bourgeois. “And while we all reap the benefits of their hard work, less than ten percent of all snowmobilers belong to a club or state association. We hope we can help increase those numbers through this program and give back to the organizations who make it happen.”

The Polaris “Winning Rider’s” program will also provide cash donations to state and provincial snowmobile organizations for each new Polaris snowmobile sold from September 1, 2006, through March 31, 2007. Checks will be distributed on or before November 1, 2007.

In addition to making the cash donations, which can be used for any purpose the organizations choose, Polaris will also mail a thank you letter to every new Polaris snowmobile buyer. Along with the thank you message, the letters will alert riders to the donation made on their behalf by Polaris, and will direct them to the Polaris website at www.polarisindustries.com/WinningRiders to learn more about their respective state or provincial association. The website encourages them to join and get involved in these organizations.

Polaris will further support the “Winning Rider’s” program by placing ads in many state and provincial association publications from October 2006 through March 2007. The ads feature a gloved hand with a big “Thumbs Up,” at the bottom and communicate details on the “Winning Rider’s” program.
