Lee Pflepsen: Winter Browsing Leads to a Great Bike Purchase
You can bet that Victory Rider Lee Pflepsen tells his grandson Jalen how much fun he has riding the Vegas he purchased from Mies Outland.
Good morning. I’m writing from St. Cloud, Minnesota.

In December of 2005 I went out to MIes Outland [the Victory dealership in Watkins, Minnesota] on a cold Saturday morning just to look at the Victorys. I had seen an ad for no interest and payments for 1 year, so I had to take a look.

I fell for a white and silver 2005 Vegas. I went back a week later – a Saturday morning, 6 inches of snow on Friday – and the showroom was full of snowmobile buyers.

The salesman who had waited on me was very busy selling sleds so I worked with Jeff Mies, the owner. We struck a deal and I picked up the Vegas right before Christmas. I went riding on a 40-degree day in February!

I sold 11 miscellaneous motorcycles and one old car. I had no need for old stuff any more.

I put on 4,000 miles last summer and hope to put on more this year. Great bike and great dealership. Lots of fun rides and help.

I am sending pix of my grandson Jalen and me playing in the garage. We go “VROOM VROOM!” Lots of fun standing still!

The Vegas is the nicest looking bike I looked at. It looks like a real motorcycle.
