Keith Kinsey: Great Support Saves His Trip to Myrtle Beach
OK, I'd like to tell my story of my first trip to Myrtle Beach Bike Week ‘07.

My wife and I went with three other couples who have attended the last eight years. They all ride Harleys. I was talking smack about my bike being 85% American-made and just bragging overall about its appearance and performance. Needless to say, Murphy's Law took hold of me and my ‘06 Cory Ness Vegas Jackpot took a dump.

First it started running terrible, spitting and sputtering. It had a fouled a plug and I thought I bought some bad gas or something. Then it wouldn't run at all. At that point, because all the trash I had talked, I was now the butt of many jokes.

At this point, Victory prevailed. It was my second day there and I had little hope of enjoying the rest of the week. However, I went to Coastal Victory and spoke with Tim. Tim promptly sent me to Lloyd Greer of Lloyd's Motoworkz. Lloyd had his dyno trailer there.

Not knowing a lot about the whole business, I was apprehensive to take my non-running Victory to anyone other than a dealer. All worries were erased when Lloyd diagnosed within 10 minutes that I had a bad fuel pump. The amazing thing is that between Lloyd and Tim at Coastal Victory, they had a new fuel pump sent the next day and I was back on the blacktop in a day and a half. Incredible, considering the circumstances.

Bruce from the factory trailer even hooked me with a set of plugs to complete the mission.

Thanks Victory, Tim at Coastal and Lloyd for showing me and my friends you have a truly American product that you stand behind! The Harley riders were truly amazed.
