Dear Victory, I wanted to drop you a line to say THANK YOU for making, in my opinion, the best American-made motorcycle on the planet.
Two years ago I decided it was time to hang up my dirt bike passions and pursue a true street cycle. I have been riding since I was very young.
After months of research, and with the desire to only buy an American-made cycle, I fell in love with the Victory line.
I have been an avid Polaris fan for many years, owning over eight new Polaris sleds and two new Polaris four wheelers. I knew Polaris was well-known for the quality and craftsmanship of these machines… I had no idea what great technology was found in the Victory line.
I was very close to purchasing a new HD when a friend told me to test ride a Victory before I made my final decision. I am very glad I did just that. After my test ride on a Vegas the decision was a "no brainer.” I purchased the new 2006 Vegas with several options.
I have put almost 4,000 miles on since the end of June last year (when I took delivery) and have had no problems. The bike runs and handles great. I get a big "grin factor" when other riders stop to check out the bike. They all want to know what it is and I always pump up the American-made pride and craftsmanship that is so obvious now to me. I really like it when HD riders give compliments. I tell them they should test ride a true American-made bike…
Last year I equipped the bike with a custom-installed stereo. This stereo fits neatly in the saddlebag, has a AM/FM tuner, CD player and MP3 input jack for an iPod (or the likes), handlebar-mounted remote, two handlebar-mounted speakers and two saddlebag-mounted speakers (that can be relocated for a day at the beach). I also customized the rear turn signals to prevent them from rubbing on the saddlebags.
Recently I had my dealer (Hanley Company in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin) install the Ness slash pipes and Mustang seats. They did a great job and now I find even more people stopping to look at the bike and ask questions, I am happy to tell my story and recommend they test ride a Victory.
Everyone knows it's me when I pull up now. I can't say enough to express how pleased I am with my Victory motorcycle.
Thanks again to all at Victory for designing such a nice bike. Keep up the great work, you have a customer for life.
