If there is any sort of contest to determine the world’s biggest Victory fan, Scott Asa Julian should be our winner.

If you have any doubts, check out the phenomenal ink he’s sporting on his back to show off his Victory Vegas.

“I’m by far Victory’s biggest supporter,” said Scott, who hails from Festus, Missouri, “and I’ll tell you the story of how I became your biggest supporter.

“I have been riding nearly all my life. I have owned Harleys, Hondas, Yamahas, Suzukis and Kawasakis. Up until 2004, by far my favorite scooter was the Kawasaki Vulcan. I had two VN800s, one that was tricked out for long rides and one that was just for bouncing around town. I wanted a bigger V-twin, but Kawasaki V-twins were shaft drive and I do not like shaft-driven bikes.

“One day I decided to look into Harleys again, but the lack of new technology and dependability just turned me away.

“Then a real good friend of mine who happens to work for a local Polaris dealer owned by the same family that owns a Harley dealership told me about Victory Motorcycles. He said the Polaris dealership where he worked was starting to sell Victorys. So he showed me a few photos and I decided to wait.

“Thank God I did.”

Indeed, Scott’s patience was rewarded when the dealership took delivery of its first Victory.

“The day the dealership uncrated the first Victory it was the Cory Ness Vegas. It was late November and about 30 degrees outside. But still, I had to take that bike for a short ride, about 30 miles.

“I was very, very impressed with the bike,” Scott recalled. “So in late March I purchased my wonderful 2004 Victory Vegas. This, by far, has been the best purchase ever made.”

Scott proceeded to customize and accessorize his bike – and his back.

“Since that day I have put the Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3 kits on my Vegas,” he said. “My bike dynos out at an impressive 103 hp, 105 ft.-lb. of torque. I love this bike so much I had a picture taken of my Vegas, made a stencil of it and had another good friend of mine tattoo my Vegas across my back with the logo ‘American Made Victory Vegas’ and ‘til death do us part.’”

As noted at the start of this post: We have a winner in the most-dedicated Victory Rider contest. Scott agrees with the assessment that he is the clear-cut winner.

“In my opinion, I feel that [my tattoo] by far makes me Victory’s biggest supporter and representative,” he said. “The tattoo has taken approximately 40 hours under the gun, and around $1,500.00 The art work was done by ‘Mr. Bill’ of White Python Tattoo Company in Festus, Missouri… He deserves all the credit for the tattoo work.”

Scott said he has plans to add a chrome front end to the bike, then keep on riding it forever.

“Thank you, Victory, for producing such a wonderful machine that I enjoy so much,” he said. “Keep up the good work on your new ideas and motorcycles. You are truly a wonderful company and care a great deal about your customers and their dreams to be free to ride the open road with no worries.

“Everyone ride safe, be safe and enjoy life!”

Will do, Scott.
