Mark Brissette: Classic Deluxe Shines on Great Tour Ride – and Beyond!
Here are Mark and his girlfriend at Fort Ticonderoga.
Webmaster’s note: Victory Rider Mark Brissette encountered a response from his girlfriend that is no longer very common among riders first exposed to Victory Motorcycles. But it sounds like her initial apprehension disappeared as she and Mark enjoyed a great trip.

I was lucky enough to find a 2003 V92C in July of ’06. My girlfriend was a little apprehensive at the thought of buying a Victory because she rides a Buell and I had a Sportster. We had all the Harley gear and wanted a bigger bike for two-up riding and long cruises.

Against her wishes, I went for the Classic Cruiser Deluxe. She only saw it for the first time when I brought it home and she loved it as much as I did. The color scheme is an eye catcher at every bike night we attend. Needless to say we haven’t looked back. We love the comfort and the power of the new bike.

I had a Stage 1 Kit installed before my first long trip. That voyage was one I’ll never forget. We rode 275 miles to Schroon Lake just north of Lake George, NY, for Americade. We also had the pleasure of visiting Fort Ticonderoga.

Upstate New York is a beautiful place to ride and the Vic ate up the curves. We checked out Saturday morning and headed straight to Laconia, another 188 miles.

The following day we added another 170 miles with a breathtaking assault on Mt. Washington. People actually balked at riding up the mountain and one passenger walked down. There was no way I wasn’t going up. My bike turned lots of heads all week.

Unfortunately the trip had to come to an end with a 160-mile journey home for a total of 917 miles of twisting, turning, hilly roads over five days. The Vic performed flawlessly! We are already talking about our next trip.
