Webmaster’s Note: Forget online dating services and singles ads. If you’re looking for a date, partner or spouse, buy a Victory! Here’s a great story from Lonnie Foist, the formerly single Indiana Victory Rider whose Vegas 8-Ball helped him make a connection with his now-wife, Myriam. Of course, first he nearly scared her to death, but then they made their connection! Congrats to the happy newlyweds.
I bought my Victory 8-Ball in March of 2005. At the time I was single and not dating anyone. In May of that year, I began talking to this pretty little gal working in the Wal-Mart deli, hoping to convince her to go out to dinner. All I kept getting was maybe, or soon. Having gone through a divorce, she wasn't ready to see anyone.
Well, one Friday night in July, I left the Dairy Queen heading for home. It was around 10:30 p.m. A nice night, so I decide to take the long way home on the 8-Ball. I turn left on a side street near my home. I pass this woman walking. As I pass her, I notice it's the gal from the deli. So I pull over, waiting for her to approach me. In her words, "I was scared to death, fearing it was a ‘biker’ that was ‘going to rape and kill me.’
When she saw who I was, she was a little less afraid, but cautious. She said she let her ex borrow her car that afternoon, and he hadn't returned it. She was walking to work, already late. I convinced her to let me take her to work on the bike.
The next morning, she let me take her home, after I finished my grocery shopping, and we haven't been apart since!
We were married May 6th of this year. Myriam wanted Victoria (she even named her) to be in the wedding since it was Victoria who brought us together.
All I can say is: THANK YOU VICTORY!!!!
