I am proud to present Janet, my wife of 23 years and counting.
We both took up riding when she figured I became mature enough to handle it.
Last year while on her first highway ride she was hit with a high cross wind while driving her 2005 Yamaha VStar 1100. The wind took her into the ditch while she was driving at approximately 110 kph (70 mph), and she struck a railway approach. The bike proceeded to hit and flip well across the tracks, leaving her in the dirt.
She suffered broken ribs, a broken collar bone and has some permanent damage to her right hand from fractures from the throttle denting the gas tank (her hand got in between them).
The reason I am telling you this is: She is just amazing! When others would just quit, she is getting back on. My wonderful wife [deserves] credit for NOT giving up!
In joint consultation (she and I), we purchased a 2007 Vegas 8-Ball from a dealer north of us in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan – Rally Motor Sports. I must add that the service thus far has been exceptional.
We had to take lots into consideration prior to our purchase, but after everything considered [including] the JD Powers survey along with the fact she felt soooo comfortable on the bike. She said it felt balanced!
I am also a member and the current president of the Blue Knight Motorcycle Club, SK1, and we have received nothing but positive comments on the bike when we have been on rides!
