Hi, I bought my 2003 Victory V92C Classic Cruiser in 2004. I traded in my Yamaha 1100. The prior year when I was thinking of riding again, I saw a Victory at a local dealer (Bob Weaver Motorsports, Tonawanda, NY). It was a blue V92C with bags, windshield etc. At that time I thought it was too big.
After taking the MSF class, I bought a 650 Yamaha V-Star, and about a month later I sold it and bought an 1100 Yamaha V-star. About a month after that, I went to the dealer after looking on the Victory site, and because the blue bike was gone, I asked Bob Weaver to get me the flamed cruiser with leather bags.
I bought the bike for a few reasons: I liked the blue one originally, but when I saw the flamed one, I was sold. I like the retro-fat squatty look of the cruiser, but to complete the transaction, Victory had zero-interest financing for 48 months... who could say no?
Since that purchase I have bought and sold a 2004 Yamaha Road Star and a 2004 Harley Sportster. I currently own a 1999 Excelsior Henderson and a 1995 Harley Electra Glide. Who knows if I will sell or buy another, but I can say that the Victory will stay.
I enjoy driving my Victory the most. It not only sounds great, but it gooooeeeess!
I have made changes to it over the years: bars, lights, single seat, old bags, Bub pipes, cables, chrome and more. Even though it is no longer made and parts are harder to find, I am constantly thinking of ways to enhance the style, as we all do.
In closing, I would like to say that I am an advocate of the fine quality and performance of Victory Motorcycles.
