Daytona Bike Week Trip 5: Taking the Scenic Route to Melbourne and Ferrara’s Victory
Wayne Sarosi
We asked Victory Rider Wayne Sarosi, a long-distance rider who lives in Melbourne, Florida, to suggest some day trips for Victory Riders who attend Daytona Bike Week. If you’re in Daytona and want to get out of town and see other aspects of Florida life for a day, check out Wayne’s trip ideas. They are all getting posted in the News section of the VRA Page.

This trip suggests a scenic, back-roads trip from Daytona to Ferrara’s Victory, the dealership in Melbourne, Florida.

This trip is nothing but road and whatever you find along the way. Stop wherever you like along the way. These directions will take you from Point A (Daytona beach) to Point B (Ferrara’s Victory in Melbourne).

If you have GPS, you can program this all in and it will take you right there. The dealership address is 670 S. Wickham Road, Melbourne, FL 32904; phone 321-984-2271.

It’s the long way to the Melbourne, Florida, Victory dealership, Ferrara’s Victory. It is the way I go to see Tony.

However, you are coming from Daytona. This trip is an all-day event and will take you about 200 miles round-trip.

Take US 1 to State Route 421 in Port Orange, or take I-95 south to the Port Orange exit. Head west on 421 and follow 421 to Route 415, where you will take a left (heading south).

Take 415 until you reach Route 46 near Sanford, and take a left (head east) on 46.

Take 46 to Route 426 in Geneva and take a right (head south). Look for Snow Hill Road and take a left onto Snow Hill.

Follow Snow Hill road into Chuluota and hang a left onto Route 419. Follow 419 to Lake Mills Road, then turn left onto Lake Mills Road and take it to Fort Christmas Road.

Turn right onto Fort Christmas Road and follow it to SR 50. Turn left onto SR 50 and almost immediately turn right on Taylor Creek Road. Take Taylor Creek Road to SR 520 and hang a left.

Go under SR 528 and stay on SR 520 until you reach the turn-off for Nova Road (RT 532). Take a right onto Nova Road and follow Nova until you see Deer Park Road (Route 419 again). Turn left onto Deer Park Road and follow it until you reach Route 192. Turn left onto Route 192.

Follow Route 192 until you get to Wickham Road in Melbourne. Hang a left onto Wickham and go about 1 mile north to Ferrara’s Victory.

If you reach NASA Boulevard, you went too far north.

How you get back to Daytona is your gig. I would just ride up I-95 to Daytona. There is not much food along the way, so I suggest you eat in Melbourne. Many places there.
