Sydney ‘FishWitch’ Sheppard Hits the 100,000-Mile Mark on Her Victory
Syd "FishWitch" Sheppard celebrates hitting 100,000 miles on her Kingpin.
Sydney Sheppard – aka “FishWitch” – recently passed a major milestone on her 2005 50th Anniversary Kingpin, which she purchased from Arlen Ness Victory in Dublin, California.

“On November 14, 2008, just shy of owning my bike three years, the odometer turned over to 100,000 sMiles!” Syd reported. “I can't say enough good things about my KP. I LOVE this bike. I have never had any issues with it whatsoever. Racking up over 100K is a testament of how well these bikes are built and how roadworthy they are. I have had nothing but fun over the past three years.”

To the best of our knowledge, Syd has ridden more miles on a Victory than any other woman.

Syd is well-known nationwide – if not globally – as “FishWitch,” her name on The VMC website. She is legendary in Northern California, where she has ridden all the best roads – or will sometime in the future, no doubt.

“Most of my riding has been in the Sierra Foothills, but I have also been to Oregon, Arizona and Nevada,” she said. “I am fortunate to have spectacular roads right out my back door.

“I am one of the Charter Members of the Gold Rush Victory Riders of the VMC, based in Sacramento and the surrounding area. I recently participated in the Victory Challenge Demo Days held at Performance Cycle in Sacramento and led riders all day on the new Vic line.”

Not only does she pitch in to help lead dealer demo rides, she has been a Leg Captain on the V2V Relay, and she is always eager to show other riders the fun – and scenic routes – motorcycling offers.

“I am very active with the annual V2V ride and have led legs from Utah to Oakland,” she said. “I recently helped lead a group of 23 ladies on a 3-day ride in the Sierras. I love showing other riders some of the great roads we have here in California. I'm heading down to Arizona soon for a week-long ride. I love going places, exploring new roads, and meeting fellow Victory riders along the way.”

Since the V2V follows as much of the Old Lincoln Highway as possible as the relay crosses the country, Syd was delighted with the place she hit her 100,000-mile mark.

“I thought it was cool that I hit the 100K mark on Old Hwy. 40, the Victory Lincoln Highway that I have passed through on the V2V relays,” she said.

Congrats, Syd! Here’s to the next 100,000 Victory miles.
