Robby Gordon Completes Historic Double-Double Off-Road and On the NASCAR Track
.
He Races in The Off Road Championship by Day, Then Races in NASCAR Race at Night

When the Traxxas TORC Series made its return September 6 to Crandon [WI] International Off Road Raceway, Robby Gordon made his TORC debut in a Polaris-sponsored Chevy PRO 2WD.

Gordon put on a great show but was unable to catch veteran Scott Taylor, who would eventually take first and the Oakley Bomb. Taylor led the entire race, with no driver even challenging his spot.

Ricky Johnson passed Johnson for the second podium position and Rob MacCachren took third. Gordon was poised to finish fourth until an incident a mere 30 feet from the finish line would cause him to spin, and then cross the finish in reverse, leaving him in sixth place.

Following the off-road race, Gordon immediately jumped onto a private plane and flew to Atlanta, where he competed in a Polaris-sponsored car in the NASCAR Sprint Cup race.

Gordon started 29th in the No. 7 Polaris Off-Road Vehicles Toyota and ended up finishing 16th, completing the 325-lap race on the lead lap.
