Arlen Ness Creates a Head-Turning 10th Anniversary Victory Vision Custom
.
Leave it to Arlen Ness to turn a 10th Anniversary Victory Vision into a stunning Victory custom.

We just received these photos from the Arlen Ness Victory dealership in Dublin, California, and they’re being posted here for the first time online. (See below for links to larger photos.)

Arlen’s approach to custom bikes is “long and low,” and he has achieved that both in visual appearance and in reality with his 10th Custom. The rear of the bike has definitely been lowered, and the lowered look is accentuated by the black chrome on the exhaust, which makes the bottom of the rear bodywork look like it stretches right down to the ground.

Here’s what we see among the changes Arlen made to the bike:

• No trunk

• Rear suspension is lowered

• Several chrome panels are blacked out – several no doubt with a classic Ness customizing touch: black chrome

• The bike has a black windshield (with a small clear extension on top for added wind protection and visibility)

• The mouths of the exhaust pipes are gaping, so there’s certainly some form of a Stage 1 treatment to the engine

Jeff Martini of Vision-Riders.com noted:

• Black pipes make it look even lower
• Absence of passenger handles helps the lines of the bike
• All-black instrument panel
• All-black front nose focuses the eye on the red swoop
• It looks lower in the rear

Of course, Jeff also noted: “But most noticeable… Arlen did a superb job of copying the flowing lines of the Vision-Riders logo! No wonder I like it!”
