Mileage Checks The Mountain Man, Ross Thacker, reports having 93,000 miles on his Touring Cruiser. Who else out there is approaching a mileage milestone? Let us hear about it via the Victory Mailbag.
Positive Reviews These have been online for a while, but we thought we’d bring to your attention two Victory reviews posted on the Two Wheel Freaks (2WF.com) website.
The 2WF staff rode a 2009 Cory Ness Signature Series Vegas Jackpot and was very impressed:
”Clearly this motorcycle is not for everyone (especially beginner riders) but rather for those that are utterly familiar with riding this type of motorcycle and want a custom cruiser without paying an exorbitant amount of money to get one (think custom built choppers). Cory Ness has turned a production based motorcycle into something special and his vision can easily stand alongside any custom one off cruiser/chopper built.”
The 2WF gang later tested a Vegas 8-Ball and, along with contrasting its rear tire to that of the Vegas Jackpot, praised the bike’s balance and light handling:
”That skinny (by comparison to a 250mm) rear tire not only aids in the handling department but it also helps disguise the 662 lbs. (full of fluids) that the 8-Ball weighs in at. Of course shedding a hundred pounds or so would be beneficial but for a motorcycle that tips the scales at over 600 lbs. you would think that you’re riding a bike half its size.”
The reviewers would love to have a Vegas 8-Ball full-time:
”Victory’s 8-Ball proves that you can be parlaying your enthusiasm about motorcycles into your everyday lifestyle. If I could ride to work every day the words: “Where do I sign up?” couldn't come out fast enough. Unfortunately the weather in my area isn’t always conducive for that (i.e. snow, black ice, freezing temperatures, etc.) but for those months out of the year that Mother Nature creates blue skies with abundant golden sunshine I’d be taking the 8-Ball to work every chance I got.”
Mailbag Contains CATastrophy In a previous Victory Blog, we showed a cat crawling inside a Victory Cross Country saddlebag. One pundit wrote the Victory Mailbag to opine:
”Are you trying to stir up some catroversy on bag size or determine how much catroband you carry?”
We still want to hear how you would complete this statement about the Victory Cross Country and Cross Roads saddlebags: The saddlebags are so big…
Let’s hear from you with your descriptions of how big these awesome bags are. Drop us a line via the Victory Mailbag.
