The Victory Blog: Early Reviews, Suzi in Katy, Iron Butt Advice & the Demo Tour
The staff at Snow's BBQ in Lexington, TX, is waiting to serve some wickedly good meals to Victory Riders on Dub's November Victory Ride.

Victory gave the motorcycle media their first opportunity to ride the new Victory Cross Country and Victory Cross Roads last week. The ride was based in Texas, giving the editors and web wizards lots of excellent backroads opportunities for riding and shooting photos.

Among the first riding impressions to surface were the observations of John Burns of Cycle World. His article on the Cycle World website appears here.

Polaris West Demo Tour Stop
To a certain extent, all the stops on the Victory Challenge Demo Tour are created equal. But we received a heads-up from legendary Volunteer VRA Victory Ride Coordinator Dub Perry that there will be some special attractions this week when the Victory 18-wheeler rolls into Polaris West in Katy, Texas.

Dub reported that “in addition to the Demo Truck, FM 107.5 ‘THE EAGLE’ celebrity DJ Suzi Hanks will be doing live remotes from Polaris West during the day.”

There will also be some spicy hot wings and other appetizers served up under a tent, so if you’re in the Houston area, stop by.

Plus, be sure to RSVP to Dub about joining him on his November Victory Ride. It’s one of his “Ride to Eat” rides, and it will take riders to Snow’s BBQ in Lexington. We almost needed a bib when we checked out the Snow’s website. That is some good-looking BBQ.

• How & what do you pack?
• How do you dress?
• What should you eat and drink (and not eat and drink)?
• What should you look for in your riding partners?
• How should you prep your bike?

Any advice – any do’s and don’ts – are welcome. So send your tips to the Victory Mailbag about what made your Iron Butt rides good or bad. We’re going to share this advice in an article in an upcoming issue of Victory Rider magazine, and here on the Victory website.
