The new touring bikes – the Victory Cross Country and Victory Cross Roads – will be on display at Biketoberfest this coming weekend.
The display will be in the vendor area on U.S. 1 across the road from the Iron Horse Saloon in Ormond Beach. To check the location and find directions for yourself, use this address in a map program such as Google Maps or Mapquest: 1069 N. US 1, Ormond Beach, FL 32174
Representatives from Best Buy Vehicles (the Fort Pierce, Florida, Victory dealership), Volusia Motorsports (the Victory dealer in New Smyrna Beach, Florida) and other area Victory dealers will staff the display.
If you haven’t yet seen these bikes in person, get over there and take a look and have a seat. They are fantastic.
Tough Hombres You might think sometime that you’ve had it rough, but check out what a couple of Victory Riders have endured. Visit the V Riders of the Month index and check out the profiles on Kevin Douglas and Gary Shelton.
Wow. A tip of the helmet to these dudes for getting back on their bikes. Of course, for Gary, the desire to ride really kept him going as he went through his recovery. Getting back on his Touring Cruiser was his incentive, and he succeeded. Well done to both of you guys.
You’ll also find a profile on Gary Stalter, one of the Victory truck drivers. And yes, to all of you who have been writing, FAXing and tweeting on Twitter, we are going to feature profiles on the other Victory truckers soon. So call off those protest rallies outside the Blog office (the van down by the river). We’re just clearing some issues with their agents, then we’ll run the profiles.
Congrats, Speed Freaks A tip of the helmet to Mike “Jethro” Pearce and Dave Koehmstedt for really representing Victory on the American Motorcycle Racing Assn. (AMRA) circuit this year.
Check out a report on their drag racing success in the VRA Page News Section.
Lobsterfest Countdown All this week we’ll be counting down to Saturday, October, 17, date of the epic Lobsterfest party in Palm Bay, Florida.
We checked the weather forecast for Palm Bay, and on Saturday, the party-goers can expect a high of 79, partly cloudy and just a 20% chance of rain.
Translation? Perfect day for an outdoor party with a bunch of Victory Riders.
Have fun, all you HAVCFers! And remember, if you have too much fun, Just Call.
The official Lobsterfest countdown clock is ticking away on the HAVCF home page.
