There are four new Victory-related videos on YouTube. They are:
• Vegas Low Riding Impressions
• A Lock & Ride Windshield Demonstration
• A Victory Vision Walk-Around
• And Victory Vision Riding Impressions from last summer’s first-ever Victory Vision Demo Tour stop.
Donnie Smith Bike Show Victory is a presenting sponsor of the annual House of Kolor Donnie Smith Bike Show, which will be held this year on March 29-30 at the St. Paul River Centre, which is adjacent to the Xcel Energy Center at Kellogg Boulevard and West Seventh Street.
There’s a swap meet, door prizes, vendors and the usual collection of insane customs on display. The Victory Axe, the custom created by the Victory Engineering team, is a part award winner at this show.
Great Bike Week We don’t want to imply we spent a long time in Daytona for Bike Week, but we now have full voting rights in Volusia County. We were there so long, we were criticizing the tourists adding to traffic in “our” town.
The drag races were outstanding, albeit cut short by rain. Did anybody hear that Fred’s roommate Mark Johnson ran an 11.98? Well, he did, but the night’s best time went to the master himself, Lloyd Greer of Lloydz Motorworkz.
By the way, kudos to Lloyd for sponsoring the American Cancer Society’s Rally for Life. Check out Lloyd’s website for details about how you can pitch in.
Jim Underwood, the ol’ Lobsterhunter himself, didn’t post the night’s top speed at the strip, but the following day his Kingpin won the custom bike contest at the VRA Party. Congrats, Lobster.
Once we clear up some extradition paperwork (told you we were in Florida a long time, long enough for lots to happen), we’ll be posting assorted photo galleries from Bike Week here on the Victory website.
Rats We’ve shared the good news with you all winter, so we have to share the bad as well.
The boys’ high school hockey team from Roseau, Minnesota, hometown of Polaris, went to the state tournament undefeated and looking for its second straight state title. The first game was an 8-2 win for Roseau (enrollment: 410 in grades 9-12) over Blaine (enrollment: 2,630 in grades 9-12). Nice.
Then the wheels came off. Another Twin Cities powerhouse, Hill-Murray (a hard-recruiting private school), beat the Rams 6-2, and in the third-place game, Roseau lost again, 5-1 to Benilde-St. Margaret’s.
So, the Rams finished at 29-2 and college-bound junior (he’s so whip-smart he’s graduating a year early) Aaron Ness was named Mr. Hockey for Minnesota.
