You might be in the holiday spirit, but are you riding in the holiday spirit? If so, send us a photo and we’ll post photos of Victory-riding Santa Clauses – and Mrs. Clauses and elves and reindeer.

We probably also need to find room for the naughty and nice – especially the prior.

Send your holiday riding photos HERE and we’ll post them as electronic Christmas cards.

What’s that? You’ve got Hanukkah- or Kwanzaa-themed riding photos? Bring ‘em on!

Houston Toys for Tots Run is Dec. 8
If you’re in the Houston, Texas, area, be sure to check out the annual Toys for Tots run. Volunteer Victory Ride Coordinator Lonnie Dickens is gathering Victory Riders to attend the event together.

Lonnie, by the way, is our unofficial selection for Volunteer Victory Ride Coordinator of the Year. He organizes monthly rides like clockwork and takes riders to the most scenic parts of Texas. Plus, they stop at some of the Lone Star State’s best places to eat and relax, adding to the fun of the day’s ride.

Great job, Lonnie. Victory Riders around Houston are lucky to have you.

The Arizona Rally T-Shirt
Our discussion of good and bad Victory T-shirts prompted another legendary Victory Ride leader – Peggy Owens of Arizona – to drop us a line:

I thought you would like the design on our Arizona Victory Rally shirt [shown above] from this last May. (It helps that Arizona has the coolest looking state flag.) Notice it's gray, not black. We Arizona riders try to stay away from black shirts, it's way too hot here.

Bob Allyn came up with the idea to put on a modest Victory rally in the northern Arizona town of Williams, on Route 66. We had a committee of six to organize it, and we came up with the design for the T-shirt. (Unfortunately, when Bob was ordering the shirts, he forgot what name we had decided on, and put "Rally in the Pines" instead of "Rally on Route 66.")

We had about 50 participants, and we're hoping for a few more this next year, the first weekend in May. There is lots of great riding around that area, including the Grand Canyon and Sedona.

– Peggy Owens

Like Colorado, Arizona does have a very cool-looking flag and it works very well as part of the rally logo. As details about the next Arizona rally become available, we’ll post them on the Victory website.
