People move quickly at Daytona Bike Week. Whether it’s an eager demo rider striding quickly to secure a Victory Vision for a demo ride, or a European rider sprinting from the line awaiting demo rides to meet legendary custom builder Arlen Ness, people move quickly.
Arlen – who, along with his son Cory is a styling partner with Victory – stopped by the Victory Demo Ride Site on Monday afternoon, and his mere presence shook things up.
First, a European rider named Arturo sprinted instantly from the demo line to get his photo taken with Arlen, then he found some paper so Arlen could sign a couple autographs.
Then a Vegas Jackpot owner greeted Arlen and had his photo taken with the legendary bike designer. The Jackpot rider’s name? Unknown. He was gone before we could catch it.
Arlen posed for photos, signed autographs, then rolled out on his Victory Vision Custom to another Bike Week stop.
At the end of the day, the pace slowed down. As the demo ride crew covered bikes for the night, a happy couple checked out the comfortable seating on a Victory Vision, and they fell in love with the bike.
Their names? Like so much of Bike Week, it’s a mystery.
