The Victory Blog: October is Blog Month & V Rider Month Edition
The Victory Blog staff is back on duty.
By Michael Dapper
VRA Page Webmaster

Pardon the cobwebs, the old newspapers and the milk that’s – phew! – past the expiration date. We’ve been away from our post for a while, but the Victory Blog staff is back like a pack of school kids back in class and we’re ready to crank out some blogs.

October has been proclaimed Victory Blog Month by the Mayor of Lobsterville, Jim Underwood, so in his honor we’re going to trot out a Victory Blog every day of the month of October. (This is all news to Jim, but he definitely deserves a prestigious title such as “Mayor.”)

If you’ve got any Victory news bits, send ‘em along for the staff to digest and convert into web copy.

Send your news notes to the Victory Mailbag.

Rider-a-Day Month
You can also send in photos of you and your Victory because October will also be one of our Rider-a-Day months in the V Rider of the Month section of the VRA Page. We’ll feature a new Victory Rider each day this month.

If you’ve got photos of yourself in costume on your Victory, send ‘em in so we can feature them during Halloween week.

Send your photos and some bio info about you and your bike to the Victory Mailbag.

2010 Victory Freedom Rally
Early plans are targeting tentative dates of June 18-20 for the 2010 Victory Freedom Rally. The base city for the 2010 rally is expected to be Ouray, Colorado.

As details are confirmed, they’ll be made available here on the Victory website and on the Colorado VRA website.

If you’ve never visited the Ouray area, you would be well-served to take in the 2010 rally. Ouray is at the northern end of the Million Dollar Highway, which takes a rider on a stunning, exciting and scenic route through Silverton (a great lunch stop) and on to Durango.

There’s stunning scenery throughout the region, so stay tuned for details and consider attending next year’s Victory Freedom Rally.

Little Sturgis
While hundreds of thousands of motorcyclists head to Sturgis, S.D., every August, a large group of Victory Riders heads to Sturgis – Michigan – every year.

The event known as Little Sturgis is always a good party, and photos from this year’s event are available for viewing at Harry’s Photo Album as well as in the Great lakes Region section of the forums on the VMC website.

Victory Challenge Demo Tour
The Victory 18-wheelers will be out in full force in the coming months. They’ll be pulling into Victory dealerships from coast to coast to offer demo rides on Victory Motorcycles. So grab your friends – especially those who haven’t yet experienced Victory performance – and have them join you for a ride or two.

You’ll find the complete Victory Challenge Demo Tour schedule HERE, and you’ll find tour stops and more Victory-related events on the Events Page.

New tour dates are being added almost daily, so check back regularly to see where the Victory 18-wheelers will be stopping next.

There are special sales promotions available for a limited time (details on the Victory home page), so take a demo ride and pick out your new bike.

The new Victory Cross Country and Victory Cross Roads are not yet in the demo fleets, but they will be on display at each Demo Tour stop. Check ‘em out, have a seat and talk to your dealer about what it will take to reserve one for yourself.
