High-Speed Update Victory Rider Gregor Moe is faster than we first reported.
We previously reported he ran 153 mph at the Maxton (N.C.) Mile during an East Coast Timing Assn. meet in May.
But Gregor e-mailed to report, “I saw your post on the VRA and just thought I should give you our actual top speed.
“It was 159.74554 mph, not 153.
“You can also find photos at www.dwphotosonline.com. Saturday photo numbers 65, 66, 175-180, and Sunday photo numbers 32-35, 65, 66, 171 and 172. I believe the last two are from the 159 run.”
Now that’s fast. Gregor Moe hereby holds the title of having The World Fastest Victory.
Running on the Hangar 12/Lloydz Motor Works bike at the ETCA meet in May, Gregor posted speeds of: 117.302 mph; 146.974 mph; 157.520 mph; 157.352 mph; and the fastest speed of 159.74554 mph.
He ran in the M/F-2000/4 class, which means: modified frame, running on special race fuel, in the up-to-2000cc engine category, with a 4-stroke engine.
We’ll keep an eye out to see if Gregor, the MBW gang or any other Victory Riders take part in the speed runs at Bonneville later this year.
Congrats to Pete Caspers, New Member of 100,000-Mile Club Congratulations to long-riding Victory Rider Pete Caspers of the Brainerd, Minnesota, area. On May 9, his 1999 V92C speedo rolled past the 100,000-mile mark.
We’re going to run a full feature story on Pete on the VRA Page in the near future, but wanted to give him a quick tip of the helmet for reaching 100,000 miles.
Actually, his bike was about 8,000 miles past 100,000 when the speedo showed 100,000, but that’s an anecdote for the full-length feature story.
And here’s a news flash from Pete to all you riders of KYSO Blue or Antares Red 1999 models: Black '99 V92Cs are actually the fastest! Can you guess which color his bike is?
Congrats, Pete.
