The Victory Blog: Bike Week is a Drag; Women of Victory Month & More
April will once again be "Women of Victory Month" here on the Victory website.

If you’re heading to Daytona for Bike Week, here are some Victory-related events to check out:

• A large contingent of Victory Riders – and Victory Racers – will head to the Orlando Speed World Dragway on Wednesday, March 5, for a night of street drags featuring some of the fastest Victorys you’ll ever see.

This is a just-for-fun event – and then some. Along with lots of fun, there are major braggin’ rights at stake, so some truly hot iron will be tearing down the track. We know of smokin’-fast Victorys coming from Georgia and from as far away as New York, and the Hurricane Alley gang will defend Florida’s claim as home of the world’s fastest Victory riders.

It’s fun, a great show and a great chance to hang out with a Victory crowd.

Orlando Speed World Dragway is located at: 19442 E. Colonial Drive (Hwy. 50), Orlando, FL 32820. Office phone (for business hours): 407-568-2717; Track phone (for use during events): 407-568-5522.

The track is southeast of Orlando, and southwest of Daytona. If you’re coming from the Daytona area, head south on I-95 of U.S. 1, then head west on Hwy. 50 until you reach the track, which is officially located in Bithlo.

We’ll see you there.

• The day after the drag racing, be sure to attend the Daytona Bike Week VRA Party at the Hilton Daytona Beach. The party features a spectacular lunch, courtesy of Victory, along with Victory-exclusive parking on the Boardwalk, special guests, give-aways and more.

To register online for the party and for more details about Victory’s presence in Daytona, check out the Daytona Bike Week VRA Party Info.

• Don’t look for the Pure Victory Polishes detailing team at their old spot behind the H-D dealership on Beach Street. The polishing pros will set up shop at the new Victory dealership in New Smyrna Beach, Volusia Motorsports.

Stop by and see the new dealership and get your Victory detailed by the guys who are best in the business.

• Be sure to stop by and check out the Victory display on Main Street. The Victory 18-wheeler will be set up once again in the parking lot that’s right by the river and across the street from Pub 44 (formerly The Wreck).

Across town you’ll find another Victory display along with Victory Demo Rides in the parking lot of the Daytona Int’l. Speedway.

April is 'Women of Victory' Month
Let’s repeat what we did last spring and declare April as "Women of Victory Month" here on the Victory website. We invite Victory women to submit photos of them with their bikes and their riding pals, along with some info such as where you’re from, what you ride, your Victory dealer, where you like to ride, etc.

We’ll feature Women of Victory in the V Riders of the Month slot on the VRA Page all through April. If we get an abundance of submissions – great! – we’ll keep posting them into May!

Go ahead and start sending your photos and info now to the Victory Mailbag’s Women of Victory Month.

Good Triumphs Over Evil (apologies to Warroad)
That’s right, the boy’s high school hockey team from Roseau, Minnesota – birthplace of Victory parent company Polaris – swept its season series against super-rival Warroad with an 8-0 win on January 29 in Warroad.

Considering that the wind chill was probably around -35 F that night (and dropping), the victory made the 20-mile ride home a sweet trek for the Roseau Rams. The Rams are rated No. 1 in Minnesota’s large-school classification – despite the fact Roseau High has an enrollment (9th through 12th grades) of just 663 students.

The state tournament will be held March 5-8, so while Victory Riders are enjoying Daytona Bike Week, the Roseau Rams should be in St. Paul battling for their record eighth state tourney championship.
