Congrats, Tim! We are delighted to share this news: Tim Marquess, Sr., who was recently featured as a V Rider of the Month, has recovered sufficiently from accident injuries to ride his Hammer.
This is fantastic news because when he purchased the Hammer, he was in no shape to ride, as you’ll see by the photo with his V Rider profile. Tim lives in Marshall, Missouri. His Hammer is a beauty, and here’s hoping he has a great – and safe – riding season in 2009 and beyond.
V Rider Profiles Speaking of the V Rider of the Month feature, you’re invited to submit photos of you and your Victory along with some profile info about yourself and your bike. We have featured more than 200 Victory Riders online in the past year, and we’ll continue to do so.
Send your photo(s) and bio info to the Victory Mailbag.
Freedom Rally Registration Deadline The deadline for Victory Freedom Rally registration is approaching. Register online by May 15 to ensure you get a rally T-Shirt and pin.
This year’s Victory Freedom Rally is June 19-20 in beautiful Jackson Hole, Wyoming, which we believe was the site of the first such rally about seven years ago. As we understand it, a group of Western Victory Riders and Victory dealers wanted to get together for some riding and good times, so they chose a weekend and met in Jackson. They have moved the event around to a variety of locations in the West, and the riding is always breathtaking.
Jackson Hole is an incredibly scenic and fun place to visit, so anyone who attends this year’s rally will have an unforgettable experience. Be sure to have plenty of film or extra memory cards for your camera.

Play it Safe – in May & Beyond May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month. You can learn some great ideas about how to be a safer rider and how to make other motorists more aware of motorcycles by checking out this Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month information.
The Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) is encouraging motorcyclists to make riding as safe as possible by focusing on three things:
• Become a better rider. • Spread safety messages. • Share the experience (the MSF "First Ride" initiative). “The Motorcycle Safety Foundation understands that not everyone wants to be – or even should be – a motorcyclist. However, non-motorcyclists can get a sense of the magic of motorcycling as well as an appreciation for the challenges and vulnerabilities of safely navigating on two wheels by being a passenger on a motorcycle piloted by an experienced rider. MSF suggests that experienced motorcyclists who are comfortable carrying a passenger take someone on their first ride during the month of May.”
Victory is among the motorcycle manufacturers who support the MSF.
We cannot endorse strongly enough the idea of taking MSF RiderCourses. Learn more about the MSF and the training it offers by CLICKING HERE.
Ride to Work Day is June 15 Ride to Work Day 2009 is June 15. This is a project organized by a group of avid riders to promote awareness of motorcycles. You can get more information about the day HERE.
