Judnick Motorsports Racers Are Poised to Make A Run at Multiple WPSA Points Titles

MEDINA, MN (September 9, 2006) – When the Judnick Motorsports snocross racing team rolls up to a race track, fans may think four-time NASCAR champion Jeff Gordon has arrived. That’s because the Judnick transporter sports a huge DuPont logo representing a major sponsor of the Judnick team and the primary sponsor of Gordon’s No. 24 race car.

But it’s not Gordon’s race sleds that emerge from the Judnick transporter. No, out come the Polaris 440 IQ™ racers of three of the hottest young racers in Snocross: Ross Martin, Matt Judnick and Dylan Martin.

All three racers return to the Judnick stable for the 2006-2007 WPSA Snocross racing season, and all have their sights set on race wins and points titles.

SO CLOSE LAST SEASON

Last winter was Ross Martin’s first full season as a Pro racer, and he nearly accomplished the mind-boggling feat of winning both WPSA Pro points titles as a rookie. He was the leader in Pro Open and Pro Stock until the final stages of the season, when his points-earning slipped slightly and he ended up second in both points races. That was the best among all Polaris Pro racers. He also finished third in the non-points X Games snocross.

Ross, 22, knows how to win: In 2004-2005, he won both WPSA Semi-Pro points titles handily. He hopes to accomplish the same feat in the Pro ranks this winter.

Matt Judnick, 23, has nine years of racing under his belt and is looking forward to a winter of improvement. Last season he finished 15th in Pro Open points and 16th in Pro Stock. He has set his sights dramatically higher this season, a view shared by Polaris Racing Manager Tom Rager, Sr.

“I’m expecting that Matt Judnick’s going to have a good year. I like his enthusiasm and his commitment. He is totally committed,” said Rager.

“Ross Martin was a Pro rookie last year and he won bronze at X Games and finished second in both [WPSA Pro] points chases,” said Rager. “I expect he’s going to be right there this year as well. And I’m expecting Dylan Martin to ring the bell for us in Semi-Pro.”

Dylan Martin, age 20 and in his fifth year of racing, finished 10th in Semi-Pro Stock points last winter and 22nd in Semi-Pro Open. With another year of experience, a great off-season training regimen and a strong team behind him, he looks forward to challenging for both points titles.

A STRONG TEAM WITH A HIGH-PROFILE SPONSOR

It’s hard for a team with such strong racers and a high-profile sponsor like DuPont to fly under the radar, but Judnick Motorsports has quietly maintained a consistent strategy in the off-season. Rather than making changes, the team has kept its strong makeup of racers, crew members and sponsors, and looks poised for a tremendous racing season.

The team is owned by Scott and Colleen Judnick and staffed by crew members Roger Faber, Tony Swiontek and Tom Rager, Jr.

It was the team’s professionalism and competitive nature that attracted DuPont two years ago. The paint, finishes and chemical giant was impressed by everything about Judnick Motorsports, and approached the team about becoming a sponsor starting last winter.

Along with Polaris and DuPont, the Judnick team’s other sponsors include: Walker Evans Shocks, Woody’s, Fly, Starting Line Products (SLP), Wiseco, CTECH, Wayne Davis, Pure Polaris, Stratford Sign, Spy, Jeff Foster Trucking, C&A Pro, HMK Boots, CTI, Carlisle and Tekvest.

The team maintains one of the sport’s best team websites, offering thorough coverage of team activities, sponsors and race results at: www.judnickmotorsports.com.
