TJ Gulla (#44 Hentges Racing/Pirtek Polaris) was the top qualifier going to the Pro Stock final winning all three of his qualifying heats. Gulla shot off the line and grabbed the lead never looking back going on to win the Pro Stock final. DJ Eckstrom (#25 AMSOIL/Red Bull/US Air Force Polaris) held on to take 2nd place with a very impressive run. Mike Schultz (#5 Avalanche Racing Polaris) finished in 5th place, with Matt Judnick (#58 Judnick Motorsports/DuPont Polaris) in 6th, Levi LaVallee (#108 Hentges Racing/Pirtek polaris) in 7th, Danny Poirier (#312 Cycle Worx Polaris) in 8th, Shaun Crapo (#3 AMSOIL/Red Bull/US Air Force Polaris) in 9th and Ross Martin (#837 Judnick Motorsports/DuPont Polaris) 10th. Ross Martin and TJ Gulla are tied for 1st place in the Pro Stock class with 264 points apiece. Mike Schultz is 3rd in points only three points back with 261 points. Blair Morgan is lurking in 4th place with 251 points.

In Pro Open Ross Martin qualified 2nd for the final. Martin fought a tough battle holding off a charging Blair Morgan for eight laps, who was eager to please in front of the home crowd. Morgan passed on lap nine with Martin chasing him down. At the checkered flag it was Blair Morgan 1st, Ross Martin 2nd and Mathieu Morin 3rd. The remaining finishing order was Mike Schultz 4th, TJ Gulla 5th, Dave Allard 6th, Iain Hayden 7th, Jeff Snow 8th, Ryan Simons 9th, DJ Eckstrom 10th, Garth Kaufman 11th, Levi LaVallee 12th, Justin Tate 13th, Kurtis Crapo 14th and Peter Raymer 15th. Ross Martin holds a 14 point lead over TJ Gulla in the Pro Open points race. Martin leads with 270 points followed by Gulla 2nd with 256 points followed by Ryan Simons in 3rd place with 234 points.

Chris Kafka (#991 Hentges Racing/Z1R Helmets Polaris) leading the entire Semi-Pro Stock final was challenged by #255 Andrew Johnstad (Avalanche Racing Polaris). Kafka led flag to flag taking the win. In the closing laps, Johnstad was in a battle for 2nd when he got pushed high and over a berm allowing Piche and Coonishish to pass him. Johnstad finished in 4th place. Johnstad is 2nd in Semi-Pro Stock points 21 points behind leader Dan Ebert. Chris Kafka is 3rd in Semi-Pro Stock points,

In Semi-Pro Open Andrew Johnstad finished in 2nd place with Chris Kafka crossing the finish line in 4th place. Johnstad is 7 points out of 1st place in Semi-Pro Open points behind Katejun Coonishish and five points behind Ebert sitting in 2nd.

The next stop on the WPSA PowerSports Snowmobile Tour is the Eagle River Derby Track in Eagle River, WI this weekend February 23-25, 2007. This is a double header weekend with two Pro Stock and two Pro Open events. Racing starts later on Friday and goes into the evening with Pros running all their qualifying heats for both Stock and Open in round one of the double header on Friday afternoon. Then Saturday they run their finals and qualifying again for the second Pro event of the weekend. More qualifying and finals on Sunday. Event Description

Round 6 of the WPSA Snowmobile Tour takes place at the legendary Grand Prix de Valcourt in Valcourt, Quebec. This race marks the start of the second half of the ten race series.

Last season Ross Martin finished 2nd in the Pro Open class while DJ Eckstrom finished 3rd in Pro Stock.
