WPSA Polaris Park-X Sno-Cross

Results

The Polaris 600HO Liberty Motor used on the Polaris IQ Open Sleds delivered again in Pro Open at the Polaris Park-X National. DJ Eckstrom (AMSOIL/Red Bull/US Air Force) finished 2nd and Levi LaVallee (TEAM Industries Racing) was 3rd. Eckstrom and LaVallee had great starts with Eckstrom slotting into 2nd and LaVallee into 3rd from the 1st lap. Eckstrom is in 2nd place in the Championship Points Standings now 7 points behind the Pro Open points leader Ross Martin.

In Pro Stock Ross Martin finished in 3rd place aboard his 2006 440 IQ. Martin currently sits in 7th place in the Pro Stock Points Chase 2 points behind DJ Eckstrom.

Robert Graeber piloting his 2006 440 IQ won the Sport Stock class in convincing style with Mike Bell (Avalanche Racing) finishing 3rd. Bell also finished 3rd in Sport Open.

TJ Gulla was injured during Pro Open qualifying and was transported to the hospital where he was treated for a chin laceration, and tongue and mouth injuries and was later released. He will be able to compete at Winter X this coming weekend. Mike Schultz injured his hip on Saturday during qualifying but was able to compete on Sunday.

Coming up next is the Winter X Games in Aspen, CO January 28-31st. Each day will feature a live TV broadcast on ESPN. On Saturday January 28th watch the quarter-finals as the field is cut to 16 racers moving onto Sunday. On Sunday, January 29th watch the semi-finals where the field is cut to 8 going to Tuesday night’s final and the remaining 8 go to the Last Chance Qualifier. Monday January 31st is the Last Chance Qualifier where the top four will go on to the final. Tuesday night January 31st will be the final.
