WPSA GRAND PRIX DE VALCOURT NATIONAL

Results

Polaris took three out of four wins at the Grand Prix De Valcourt in Valcourt, Quebec. Valcourt was the 4th stop and 5th round of the WPSA PowerSports Snowmobile Tour.

In Pro Super Stock DJ Eckstrom (#25 AMSOIL/Red Bull/ US Air Force/ Polaris) was the #1 qualifier going into the final with Levi LaVallee (#108 Hentges Racing/Pirtek/Polaris) qualifying 2nd and Shaun Crapo (#3 AMSOIL/ Red Bull/US Air Force/Polaris) qualifying third. Ross Martin (#837 Judnick Motorsports/DuPont/Jack Links/Polaris) had to go through the LCQ to the back row of the final due to his shoulder becoming dislocated in his first heat. The team got it back in place, taped him up and he went out and finished 4th and 1st in his next two rounds. However, that still only put him in the LCQ which he won putting him in the back row of the final.

In the 14 lap Pro Super Stock final, Ryan Simons got the holeshot and lead with Eckstrom close behind. Simons led for seven laps when his belt broke. Eckstrom inherited the lead with TJ Gulla (#44 Hentges Racing/Pirtek/Polaris) in tow. Robbie Malinoski was in third. But never count out Ross Martin. Martin was fifth on the first lap from the back row. By lap 10 he had passed Malinoski and moved into 3rd. At the checkered flag it was DJ Eckstrom with the win, TJ Gulla 2nd and Ross Martin in 3rd. Currently with four more races to go DJ Eckstrom leads in the Pro Super Stock points with 281. Ross Martin is second in points with 265. TJ Gulla is third in points with 251 and Mike Schultz (#5 Avalanche Racing/Yellow book/Polaris is fourth with 247. Tucker Hibbert sits fifth in points with 244.
