A lot of Victory Riders whose travels take them anywhere close to Spirit Lake, Iowa – home of the Victory Final Assembly Plant – like to stop by for a factory tour to see how and where their motorcycle was built.
The Spirit Lake facility is home to three Polaris production lines. One is dedicated as a Victory assembly line and the other two are currently being used for production of the popular Polaris RANGER side-by-side vehicle.
Two Reasons for Limited Tours Tours are frequently available at the Spirit Lake facility, but visitors cannot tour the plant when:
• Pre-production models are being built.
• Model Year 2010 vehicles are being built prior to their public introductions.
Assembly of Model Year 2010 vehicles begins this year in early June, so there are no tour opportunities in the months of June and July.
The MY 2010 vehicles will be unveiled in late July, and the plant will offer tours again starting in August. Special tours will be available during the American Victory Rally, scheduled for August 14-15 in Spirit Lake.
No Tours During Two Specific Weeks Plus, note that pre-production assembly will take place in these two weeks, meaning there will be no tours available during these periods:
• The week starting April 20.
• The week starting May 4.
Call Ahead Regarding Tours Victory Riders interested in touring the Spirit Lake facility at times other than AVR weekend should call in advance to confirm tour availability. Call Caroline at 712-336-6733.
