Gregor Moe Sets Speed Record on Hangar 12/Lloydz Motorworkz Victory at Bonneville
Gregor Moe positions the Victory speed run machine on the Lloydz dyno.
We’re still chasing down all the details, but on Thursday, September 3, Gregor Moe of Minnesota set a new class speed record aboard a Victory at the BUB Motorcycle Speed Trials at the Bonneville (UT) Salt Flats.

Running on the HANGAR 12/Lloydz Motors No. 120 Victory in the 2000-M-AG class, Moe established a new and official world record speed of 165.8 mph, making his bike the World’s Fastest Victory.

The bike was powered by a Victory Freedom engine that had been modified and race-prepped by Lloyd Greer of Lloydz Motorworkz.

Reports filtering in during the day Thursday said Moe posted a speed of 165.6 mph, which would have been a new world record, and that he backed it up with a 166.004 mph run. (To certify a world record, a driver has to back it up by making a second run near the same speed.)

Details will be posted here as they become available. Congratulations to Gregor, Lloyd and the crew for putting a Victory into the record book at Bonneville.
