With a recent UTV Class 1 victory at Straddleline ORV Park, in Olympia, Washington, Mark Holz and his Holz Racing RANGER RZR S clinched the 2009 WORCS Championship.
Holz secured the title with two rounds remaining thanks to his overwhelming point lead. He has four class victories and four overall first-place finished for a total of 98 points, 46 more points than the second-place racer.
“My RANGER RZR S performed perfectly all season and was dominant on the track,” Holz said. “The power provided by the Kroyer-modified engine allowed me to holeshot every race, even when we were up against 1000cc side-by-sides. All in all it was a great season and I look forward to more racing in the future.”
Doug Eichner currently leads the WORCS UTV 3 class with his RANGER RZR S. Eichner took first in his class at Straddleline and finished second overall.
The next WORCS race is September 25-27, in Devore, California. Holz will race in the Best In The Desert Silver State 300 on September 25-27.
