THE WORLD’S FASTEST VICTORY: MBW-Lloyd’s Victory Runs 147.53 mph
Lloyd Greeg of Lloydz Motor Workz is the engine builder for the World's Fastest Victory.
A Victory straight-line speed run bike built by Matt Waring of MBW Motorcycle Products and Lloyd Greer of Lloydz Motor Workz posted a top speed of 147.53343 mph on October 26, 2008, during an East Coast Timing Assn. (ECTA) meet at the Maxton (N.C.) Airfield.

This story is developing and we’ll report details as soon as we interview Matt and Lloyd. What can be discerned from the ECTA run log is this:

Rider David Torchio piloted the MBW/Lloydz bike on one run on Saturday, October 25, and five runs on October 26.

Running in the M/G-1650/4 class, Torchio posted a speed of only 107.9730 mph on Saturday.

On Sunday, the team cranked up the speed and Torchio posted these speeds:

139.06922 mph, 138.91019 mph and 142.01108 mph before he ripped off his top speed of the weekend, 147.53343 mph. His final run on Sunday was 147.07721 mph.

As details become available, they’ll be posted here and published in Victory Rider magazine.
