Daryl Rath Reaches the Podium Again in GNCC Racing; John Gallagher, Sr., Wins, Leads in Points
Daryl Rath
Polaris ATV racer Daryl Rath is getting used to being on the podium. For the second straight round of GNCC Racing, he finished third to earn a spot on the stand.

The latest strong showing came in the GNCC’s Round 8, the Elka Yadkin Valley Stomp, held at the Welborn Family Farm in Yadkinville, North Carolina. The event took place June 21-22.

Rath earned his first podium spot by taking third in Round 7, the Spartan GNCC, and the Polaris/Rath/Dunlop racer backed it up with a solid third-place finish in North Carolina.

Of the 11 racers in the 4x4 Open, Rath, who lives in Hutchinson, Minnesota, completed five laps in 2:05:34. He was 52nd overall.

Rath’s teammate Frank Batista finished eighth, running the five laps in 2:21:34. Batista, of Riverdale, California, was the final racer on the lead lap.

“It was great to be able to put the Sportsman on the podium again,” Rath said. “I am pleased with my performance and very proud of the effort put forth by everyone involved with this team. Each time we go out and compete we discover a few more little enhancements we can do to make us better the next round. The team is busy preparing for Round 9 and we are excited to be heading there.”

With his two third-place finishes, Rath is 11th in points. He has 36 points despite racing in just two of the season’s first eight races. While winning the points title seems improbable considering his late start, if he continues to run this strongly, he could strive for a top-five finish in points. Batista is 18th in points after Round 8.

The Polaris/Rath/Dunlop team is sponsored by: Polaris Industries, Rath Racing, Dunlop Tires, Fox Shox, FMF Exhausts, Dirty Dawg Performance, DWT, B&B Racing Engines, RPM, Fly Racing, Torco Fuels, Hinson Clutch Components, Xstream Composites, Precision Racing Products, Amsoil, WPS, QuadTech, UpDog, Powermadd, Tireballs, Faast Co., Scott Goggles, PEP, CV4, and K&N Filters.

Gallagher Wins Again
Polaris racer John Gallagher, Sr., continued his winning ways by taking first in the Super Senior (50+) class, completing five laps in 2:03:38. It was the fifth win in eight rounds of racing for the Aurora, Ohio, racer, and he leads in class points with 137 points, putting him 16 points ahead of second place.

Gallagher has five wins, one second, one third and one DNF.

Strong Finishes for Polaris Racers
