Polaris Pro ATV racer Doug Eichner has done it again! He won the final moto at the August 5 ITP QuadCross event in San Bernadino, California, to win the weekend’s Open Pro class title. It was Eichner’s second Pro-class win on a Polaris Outlaw this season, his first on the Polaris race quad.
Eichner, who is from El Cajon, California, won at the ITP event held at famed Glen Helen Raceway Park aboard a Polaris Outlaw 525 S.
In the first moto, Eichner ran strong enough to finish second. In the second and final moto, he grabbed the holeshot and held onto the lead for good as he ran away with the win. The 2-1 finish gave him the Open Pro title against some of the sport’s top race teams.
Eichner offered his thanks to Ross McNab of Fox Racing Shox, who dialed in the Outlaw’s shocks and assisted at trackside, and to DRI, who prepped the quad for the race.
Eichner is sponsored by Polaris, Duncan Racing International, Rage’n Luxury Toy Haulers, Fat Boy 4 Exhaust Systems, ITP Tires, Fox Racing Shox, A.R.C Racing, Roll Design, IMS, GPR Stabilizers, Douglas Wheels, Motion Pro, Smith Optics, Hinson Clutch Components, One Industries, Tag Metals, Pro Design Racing, JE Pistons and Vortex Ignitions.
Eichner was scheduled to compete in a WORCS event this weekend, and he will travel to France to pursue his eighth win of the Pont de Vaux – on the Outlaw 525 S – on August 24-26.
Also Earned First-Ever Pro Victory for Polaris On May 13, Eichner made Polaris ATV racing history as he rode an Outlaw 525 to first place in the Pro ATV class at the WORCS Racing Series event in Los Olivos, California. It was the first Pro class win for a Polaris racer, and it came in Eichner’s second-ever race on the Outlaw 525.
