Great for small farms, ranches, estates and municipalities, the RANGER 2X4 and 4x4 are the hardest working, smoothest riding utility vehicles around.

At the heart of both RANGER models is a 30-horsepower, 4-valve, 4-stroke liquid-cooled Polaris 500cc engine. This power plant delivers class-leading towing, hauling, payload and top speed through an automatic Polaris Variable Transmission (PVT). The PVT requires no shifting and responds to both engine RPM and vehicle torque requirements for superior power transfer.

The RANGER 2x4 and 4x4 can out work any vehicle in their classes with a class-leading 1,500 lb. towing capacity and 1,500 lb. vehicle payload. With a capacity of 850 lbs, the rear dump box is big enough to hold a standard pallet, has drain holes for wet material and comes standard with a pickup truck style tailgate and self-cleaning hinge for dumping loose materials.

For a smooth ride, the RANGER 2x4’s and 4x4’s independent rear suspension (IRS) has 9 inches of travel and 11 inches of ground clearance making it one of the toughest 2-wheel drive utility vehicles on the market. In addition to IRS, the MacPherson strut, long-travel (8 inches) independent front suspension adds to the smoothness of the ride.

The RANGER 4X4 uses Polaris On-Demand All-Wheel drive to deliver a performance vastly different from competitive 3 1/2 wheel drive limited slip systems. The system automatically engages when the rider needs more forward traction. It reverts to 2WD automatically when AWD is no longer needed.

The RANGER 4X4 also includes Polaris’ electronically activated lockable rear differential. At the push of a button, the system can be engaged for rough terrain or disengaged to go easy on turf.
