Training
Polaris Defense can provide three levels of training to military units:
- New Equipment Training (NET) : The intent of this course is to familiarize the new operator with their machine. This instruction includes:
- Walk around the machine and instruction on all of the control surfaces.
- Operator level maintenance checks.
- Safe operation of the machine.
Length: This training is conducted at the unit location and is a 1 day block of instruction.

- Train the Trainer Course: The intent of this course is to certify your operators to a “Train the Trainer” level. They can then train others in the unit on safe operation of the machines. This instruction includes:
- Walk around the machine and instruction on all of the components with special emphasis on teaching these points.
- Operator level maintenance checks.
- Safe operation of the machine. Operator riding and negotiation of a Specialty Vehicle Institute of America (SVIA) “Cone Course”.
- Riding course in which all riders negotiate obstacles and perform proper vehicle recovery and winching efforts.
Length: This training is conducted at the unit location and is a 3 day block of instruction.

- Maintainers Course: The intent of this course is designed to provide a wheeled vehicle mechanic with the knowledge and skills to repair all items on their Polaris machines. The course is limited to only the machines that unit owns or operates. This instruction includes:
- Mechanical checks of the machines as recommended by the service manual intervals.
- Diagnostic checks of the engine and chassis.
- Full system maintenance and repair.
- Engine and Transmission Operation and troubleshooting.
Length: This training is conducted at the unit location is a 4 day block of instruction.
