Minneapolis, April 21, 2009 –The RANGER RZR is having another strong racing season with more success at Best in the Desert’s, Terribles 250 at Primm. Mark Holz and Matt Parks took the UTV class finishing eight-and-a-half minutes in front of the second-place winner.
Starting in eighth position, the team quickly moved up to the top three by race mile 15, but got stuck behind a competitor for 12 miles in a particularly narrow section of the course. Once by, they quickly moved into second by pit two, and finished in front.
“The RANGER RZR worked flawlessly all day and we had a blast out there,” said Holz.
The Jagged X RANGER RZR finished ninth due to issues with a broken exhaust, yet, Jagged X retains the Best in the Desert UTV points lead through round two. Holz will continue concentrating on a championship in the WORCS series this year where he currently has the points lead. The Holz/Parks 1932 team is sponsored by Holz Racing Products, Polaris, Kroyer Racing Engines, and Maxxis Tires.
The next Best in the Desert race is the Bluewater Gran Prix, May 8-10, in Parker, Arizona. Holz’s next race will be WORCS Round 4, in Milford, Calif., May 1-3.
