Minneapolis, May 14, 2008 – Polaris Industries today announced the Sportsman 800 Touring was named “ATV of the Year” by Affinity Powersports Media’s ATV Magazine. The ATV also received a “Best in Class” award for being the “Best Two-Passenger ATV.”
The Sportsman 800 Touring beat out the “Best Mega-Bore Utility” and “Best Open-Class ATV” winners for the prestigious “ATV of the Year” award. ATV Magazine picked the Sportsman 800 Touring due to its innovative Active Descent Control which gives the riders four-wheel engine braking, and a design that puts the passenger first with features such as a large, comfortable backrest; soft, vibration-absorbing hand holds and vibration-absorbing foot rests. ATV Magazine also applauded the Sportsman 800 Touring’s beautiful finish that includes automotive-style paint and alloy wheels. The award further validates Polaris’ claim that the Sportsman 800 Touring is “The World’s Most Comfortable ATV.”
