Victory riders are invited to join fellow riders and the staff of
Victory of South Florida to take part in the 18th annual SFPC Christmas
Toys in the Sun Run on Sunday, December 4, 2005.
More than
30,000 motorcyclists are expected to be part of the crowd that could
reach 70,000 during this toy run, the largest such event held in
Florida.
The Victory of South Florida staff and other Victory
riders are going to meet at Lester’s Diner III in Sunrise at 8 a.m. on
December 4 for breakfast, then they’ll ride together to Markham Park in
Sunrise, Florida, where the toy run activities are held. The Victory
18-wheeler will be at the park and the 2006 Victory lineup will be on
display. At this time, Victory is the only major manufacturer scheduled
to support the event at this level.

The Christmas Toys in the Sun Run benefits the Joe DiMaggio Children's
Hospital in Hollywood, Florida, and the Boys and Girls Club of Broward
County, Florida. All proceeds from the event help pay for cancer
treatments for children in these hospital. The 17 previous toy runs
have raised more than $4 million.

Participation in the event cost is $10 and one unwrapped toy per
person. The event website includes a chart of recommended toys for
various age groups.
A motorcycle parade will begin at Pompano
Harness Track in Pompano Beach, Florida, and end with the party at
Markham Park in Sunrise, Florida, where there will be live music, lots
of vendors and an international food court.
Pompano Harness
Track is located on Powerline Road between Atlantic Boulevard and
Cypress Creek Road. The parade starts lining up at the racetrack at 7
a.m. Bikes will begin pulling out at 10 a.m. and the parade will
proceed to Atlantic Boulevard East to I-95 South to I-595 West. The
group will take Exit at 136th & SR 84 and proceed to the park.
These roads will be shut down to general traffic during the parade.
If you will not participate in the motorcycle parade, or are coming by
car or truck, you must get to the park before 10 a.m., when the roads
will be closed until approximately 1 p.m. The park opens at 8 a.m. and
the live entertainment begins at noon.
