In Pro Super Stock, Tucker Hibbert was the top qualifier in Pro Super Stock with Ross Martin (#837 Judnick Motorsports/Dupont/Jack Links/Polaris) and Ryan Simons the 2nd and 3rd qualifiers respectively. On the start, Hibbert grabbed the holeshot with Ross Martin close behind. Martin took over the lead by the end of lap 1 when Hibbert bobbled. Martin led the remainder of the 24 lap final with Carl Schubitzke and Ryan Simons in hot pursuit. But DJ Eckstrom (#25 AMSOIL/Red Bull/US Air Force/Polaris) and Mike Schultz (#5 Avalanche Racing/Parts Unlimited/Yellow Book/Polaris) were lurking behind them waiting for opportunities to pass. By lap three Eckstrom was in 3rd with Schultz in 5th. By lap nine it was Martin, Eckstrom and Schultz in the top three positions. Those three stayed within striking distance of one another but in the end it was Ross Martin taking the win, DJ Eckstrom in 2nd, Mike Schultz in 3rd, TJ Gulla (#44 Hentges Racing/Pirtek/ Polaris) in 4th and Levi LaVallee (Hentges Racing/ Pirtek/Polaris) rounding out the top five, all on Polaris.
In Pro Open, Ross Martin (#837 Judnick Motorsports/Dupont/Jack Links/Polaris) launched off the start line in the Pro Open final taking the lead with DJ Eckstrom (#25 AMSOIL/Red Bull/US Air Force/Polaris), Blair Morgan, Levi LaVallee (#108 Hentges Racing/Pirtek/Polaris) and Hibbert in hot pursuit. By lap four Hibbert had worked his way up 2nd place chasing down Martin. Martin held Hibbert off for 14 laps when on the 15th lap Hibbert found his opportunity to pass Martin. Hibbert had a one second lead over Martin and continued to widen the gap between them to a five second lead. At lap 20 Levi LaVallee started to chase down Hibbert closing the gap to three seconds between them. After 24 laps Tucker Hibbert took the checkered flag with the win with Levi LaVallee in 2nd and Ross Martin in 3rd. DJ Eckstrom and Mike Schultz were 4th and 5th respectively rounding out the top five.
Polaris takes the top four spots in the Semi-Pro Open final. Brett Bender led for 13 laps and on the 14th lap Bobby LePage (#244 Hentges Racing/Parts Unlimited/Polaris) who had been patiently looking for any way by Bender found the spot at the bottom of the hill passing Bender on the inside to take over the lead. LePage who hails from Duluth brought home a win for the home town crowd. Rounding out the podium in Semi-Pro Open was teammate Brett Bender (#19 Hentges Racing/Polaris) in 2nd place and #255 Andrew Johnstad (Avalanche Racing/Yellow Book) aboard his Polaris. #937 Dylan Martin finished 4th giving Polaris the top four spots in the Semi-Pro Open class.
In Semi-Pro Super Stock, Dylan Martin (#937 Judnick Motorsports/Dupont/Jack Links/Polaris) qualified 1st for the Semi-Pro Super Stock final. #602 Dan Ebert and #155 Wesley Selby qualified 2nd & 3rd. Bobby LePage (#244 Hentges Racing/Pirtek/Polaris) got the holeshot and lead at the start of the Semi-Pro Super Stock final. Brett Bender (Hentges Racing/Pirtek/Polaris) and Dylan Martin chased LePage for 11 laps until LePage came off his sled. Martin had already passed Bender several laps back and inherited the lead with LePage’s off. Martin went on to win the Semi-Pro Super Stock final with Brett Bender claiming 2nd and #244 Bobby LePage finishing 3rd. However, Dylan Martin was scored last after being accessed a penalty for passing in a yellow zone making Brett Bender your Semi-Pro Super Stock winner. Bobby LePage advanced to 2nd and Wesley Selby moved up to 3rd.
Kylie Abrahamson (#87 Avalanche Racing/Yellow Book/Parts Unlimited/Polaris) falls off on the start of the Pro Women Super Stock final and is in last place on the first lap. She strategically works her way around and through traffic to the front to win the Pro Women Super Stock final in a very exciting race.
In Sport Super Stock 1, Ryan Carey (Carey Racing/Polaris) finished in 2nd place aboard his Polaris. In Sport Super Stock 2, Derek Ellis (#106 Carey Racing/Polaris) who went undefeated in qualifying completed the sweep by winning the final as well. 3rd place went to Kurt Heiser (#108 Dutch Mill Trucking/Polaris) on his Polaris from Wind Lake, WI.
In Jr. 14-15, Kyle Lacoe from Ham Lake, MN piloted his Polaris to victory circle by winning the final.
In Sport Women, first place went to Nichole Lackore from Farmington, MN riding a Polaris with 3rd place going to #367k Katie Acker from Bristol, VT aboard her Polaris. The Sport Women 600 final was won by #114 Stephanie Simard (Royal Distributing/Bourque Auto/Polaris).
On Friday night, ten racers qualified to go to Aspen, Colorado January 24-27, 2008 to compete in the ESPN Winter X-Games. Five were taken from two separate finals. Those qualifying from the first final were DJ Eckstrom (#25 AMSOIL/Red Bull/US Air Force/Polaris) who won X-Games Final #1, Levi LaVallee (#108 Hentges Racing/Parts Unlimited/Polaris), Carl Schubitzke, Matt Judnick (#58 Judnick Motorsports/Dupont/Jack Links/Polaris) and Mathieu Morin. The top five going to the X-Games from Final #2 are Shaun Crapo (#3 AMSOIL/Red Bull/US Air Force/Polaris) winning his final, Mike Schultz (#5 Avalanche Racing/Yellow Book/Parts Unlimited/Polaris), Bobby LePage (#244 Hentges Racing/Pirtek/Polaris), Dave Allard and Mathew Piche.
Ross Martin (#837 Judnick Motorsports/Dupont/Jack Links/Polaris), TJ Gulla (#44 Hentges Racing/Pirtek/Polaris), Blair Morgan, Tucker Hibbert and Robbie Malinoski were invited by ESPN to the Winter X-Games and were not required to qualify to go to Aspen.
