The
RANGER 4X4 EFI is the hardest-working 4x4 utility vehicle in the world with a strong 1,000 lb. cargo capacity, class-leading 1,500 lb. payload and towing, 41 mph top speed, electronic fuel injection and exclusive, on-demand, true 4-wheel drive.
Polaris uses customer and dealer feedback to enhance the company’s product offerings and one suggestion that was continually mentioned was offering more color options. For 2007, along with its standard green color, Polaris will offer the
RANGER 4x4 EFI in blue and red.
Polaris continues to deliver the popular
RANGER 4X4 EFI with all the options that made it one of the best-selling utility vehicles in the world: a standard 500cc engine, independent rear suspension and true, 4-wheel drive.
At the heart of the
RANGER 4X4 EFI is a 30-horsepower, 4-valve, 4-stroke liquid-cooled Polaris 500cc engine. This power plant delivers class-leading towing, hauling, payload and top speed through an automatic Polaris Variable Transmission (PVT). The PVT requires no shifting and responds to both engine RPM and vehicle torque requirements for superior power transfer.
For a smooth ride, the
RANGER 4x4 EFI’s independent rear suspension can tackle the toughest of terrains. With 9 inches of travel and 11 inches of ground clearance, rocks, ruts, mud and anything else nature can throw its way, is no match for the
RANGER 4x4. In addition, the MacPherson strut, long-travel (8 inches) front suspension means the front can handle the roughest of terrain. The smooth ride characteristics of the front suspension and independent rear suspension are maintained even when carrying heavy loads of up to 1,500 pounds of total payload.
RANGER 4X4 EFI uses Polaris On-Demand All-Wheel drive to deliver a performance vastly different from competitive 3 1/2 wheel drive limited slip systems. True all-wheel drive automatically senses rear wheel traction loss and transferring torque to both front wheels fully engages both front wheels as soon as the
RANGER 4X4 encounters loose terrain.
RANGER 4X4 EFI also includes Polaris’ electronically activated lockable rear differential. At the push of a button, the system can be engaged for rough terrain or disengaged to go easy on turf.
Electronic fuel injection makes the
RANGER 4X4 EFI more responsive and reliable in the type of rugged, off-road terrain that demands sudden and extreme changes in both power requirements and variations in speed. The Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) in the EFI system ensures immediate and precise response.
The result is leading acceleration, smooth performance over all types of terrain and better fuel mileage. EFI also compensates automatically for abrupt and extreme changes in altitude and temperature, ensuring the
RANGER 4X4 EFI starts readily in all conditions from –25 degrees F to 120 degrees F at altitudes up to 10,000 feet.
Outfitting the
RANGER 4x4 EFI for any job is easy with the Polaris Lock & Ride cargo system. The system makes it easy to carry and organize a wide range of equipment, gear and loose material by combining a multi-functional composite cargo box and a full range of PURE Polaris accessories that attach in less than ten seconds. The cargo box is big enough to hold a standard pallet, has drain holes for wet material and comes standard with a pickup truck style tailgate and self-cleaning hinge for dumping loose materials.
In addition, the RANGER 4x4 EFI delivers: - Large 13 cubic feet cargo volume
- Highest towing capacity at 1500 lbs.
- Industry leading 27 inch water crossing depth
- Automotive style 4-wheel hydraulic disc brakes
- Seating for three
The engine uses standard 87 octane fuel. All connections throughout the fuel system are sealed and water resistant.
