The new Sportsman 6x6 is a major upgrade from the outgoing model. The list of new features include an 800cc EFI engine, Polaris’ Engine Braking System
(EBS), Active Descent Control (ADC), six wheel independent suspension and six wheel shaft drive.
The benefits of the six wheel shaft drive cannot be under played. Replacing the chain drive on the previous model with robust drive shafts means less maintenance and more consistent, controlled power being delivered to all six wheels.
With six-wheel independent suspension, the Big Boss, keeps the wheels in constant contact with the ground to deliver maximum traction and flotation on sand or mud. The Big Boss’ large rear dump box has a load capacity of 363 kg, and if you combine that with a towing capacity of 680kg, you get a number of clear advantages.
Advantages like being able to take everything needed in one trip, or avoiding overloading the vehicle which would otherwise increase the likelihood of premature failure of components not designed to carry the big loads.
