Polaris Racing’s Aaron Ovens has won the first round of the Victorian ATV Motorcross Series. In the six motos on Colac’s sandy loam, Ovens secured 3 firsts and 3 second places to take the round win.
The track was very taxing on man and machine, with a tough combination of big berms and technical sections that required full commitment from the riders.
Whilst his 2009 Outlaw is still in the development phase, with a stock frame, motor and rear shock, Ovens says “already I love the ergonomics of the 09 model, its easier to move around on, more controllable in the air, and has much more precise steering. I feel that with more practice I can push this bike much harder than I can with any other machine.”
“The Outlaw KTM engine was awesome, I took the last four holeshots of the day. Overall I'm really happy with my pace, and consistency. I'm now looking forward to spending some more time on the new Outlaw and the first round of the Thumb Pump enduro series” said Ovens.
